Who runs this website and shop?

The website and shop is run by me, the artist. All prints (open edition prints) are produced at Pigmento Coolectivo in Lisbon, Portugal and approved, packaged and shipped directly from my little studio in Algarve. 

The originals are created in my little Studio in the Algarve Portugal

 

Do the prints have any kind of texture?

Surprisingly, yes. Even though, they are flat prints on matt fine art paper, the print gives off the illusion of being textured due to the way the original paintings are photographed. Besides, I apply a protective gel that gives the print a brush stroke textured touch. Watch this video HERE to get an idea on the way I work with the prints. 

 

What's the difference between the open edition and limited edition prints?

The limited edition prints are signed, titled and numbered. They are printed on a higher quality 100% cotton matte 308gsm Hahnemühne Photo Rag paper. The first orders placed will receive the lowest numbered editions. Once the limited edition run is sold out, it will never be reprinted again. I am not producing limited edition prints at this momment.

I am offering open edition prints. They are not numbered. There is not limit for the number of prints that will be printed. They are printed as they are purchased by customers.

 

Will my Print be Hand-Signed?

Unfortunately, open edition prints do not arrive hand-signed. The original signature is on the fine art print but will never be available to be hand-signed. Only limited editions and originals are signed to preserve the integrity of works that increase in value over time.

 

Will I get a certificate of authenticity?

All the "Originals" from this webpage (www.magalygouveiaart.com) and limited editions (when available) are the only works that arrive with a certificate of authenticity.

 

How is my print packed and shipped?

Each print is individually packed in a protective sleeve and rolled into a sturdy, heavy duty postal tube.

Orders within Portugal will be shipped with CTT Express.

International orders will be shipped with UPS or similar post service. You will receive tracking information after the order has been shipped out. Please head to the Shipping Policy page for shipping costs and delivery time estimates.

 

Please note: International shipping costs for non-EU countries do not include the destination’s duty, tax or customs fees. If applicable, these will be assessed upon delivery.

It is your responsibility to pay any duties, value added tax or other similar charges. If you refuse to pay these additional amounts, your delivery will be returned to us. Provided that the product is in its original condition, we will refund you the cost of your purchase (minus the costs of shipping to and from your country).

Please double check your shipping address. You will be charged an additional shipping fee and an extra handling charge if we have to resend an order that was sent back to us due to an incorrect address or if an order was not picked up after receiving notice.

 

Can I purchase an original painting?

Throughout the year I’m constantly creating new paintings that will be released by myself and made available to purchase.

  • Some of the paintings showed in the COLLECTION gallery are available for sale. If you like one of them, take note of the name and contact me to send you the price and conditions if it is still available.
  • Paintings in the "Small Collections"  or "100 Paintings Collections" are also available and eventually being auctioned off on the Instagram page @magalygouveia.art-auctions. Under every new post on the page, you can comment your bid until the auction ends. The winner with the highest bid is chosen and contacted via Instagram DM. You can keep up with new auctions by enabling post notifications for my auction page.

 

Can I commission a custom piece?

I have decided to concentrate on the creation of paintings for the "100 Paintings Challenge" and take a step back from accepting commission proposals.

If I choose to offer them again, this will be announced in this website and social networks

About damaged shipment

If there is an issue with your order, we won’t leave you hanging!  You are welcome to reach out via the contact form so we can find a solution together.

But please keep all original packing materials as they may be needed for insurance investigation purposes. Please include pictures if you can. We’ll be in touch with next steps. Let us know about any damage as soon as possible.

 

Liability

We are not liable for goods once they are in the possession of the collector. It is not our duty to refund, exchange, replace or compensate by any means for the damage of products that have been mishandled by customers.

As guaranteed under consumer protections, compensation for damage is only due if/when damaged products are received when impacted by postal services and/or faulty merchandise has been dispatched. Please refer to our shipping policy for more information. Every print is inspected a minimum of three times before clearing for shipment and only pristine purchased reproductions are packaged for you to enjoy.

It is not our duty to compensate customers who do not read the provided product information before purchase.

 

Return Policy

We are confident that you will love your new artwork and are committed to offering the highest quality fine art products for you to enjoy! 
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it.

Fine Art Prints (eligibility varies): Prints are very delicate (one could say extremely). Our quality control and sanitary standards are quite strict and most cannot be re-sold upon return. Only if the prints are unhandled and in their original packaging, will they be eligible for return. If returned prints are deemed unfit upon inspection for any reason, we reserve the right to deny a refund.

Originals (not eligible): All original purchases are final; as they come with a special, personalised gift just for you and Magaly personally pays a generous amount to ship them directly to your door via courier.

 

We do not offer returns, refunds or exchanges for change of mind purchases!
